Elite program 

To date, the WMAC Elite is made up of the best athletes in the age group over 18 years old, from the kickboxing categories - pointfighting, light contact, kicklight, K1 kickboxing and full contact.

Each recognized WMAC member country can set a maximum of 2 athletes in the respective classes for the elite competitions at the Amateur World Championships. These are reported by the national director or national coach.

The elite hold their competitions separately at the World Martial Arts Games, alongside the Amateur World Championships as a separate discipline. 

The winners of the elite classes receive special prizes and are the recognized elite world champions of the WMAC, the highest title a tournament fighter can currently achieve. 

They are allowed to call themself WORLD CHAMPION.

Participants in the amateur classes are requested to use the suffix - AMATEUR - in public communications.

Difference to the amateur world champions

In the elite classes there is only one age group and therefore only one world champion per weight/gender/category.
All known categories will continue to be fought out in the amateur classes. 
We ask winners of the amateur classes to note the terms in social media, press or publications: 
Amateur World Champion (Veterans/Masters/Adults) / Children's World Champion / Junior World Champion / Cadet World Champion. Pay attention to the reference to the WMAC. 
Elite winners are permitted to use the term: WMAC Elite World Champion. 
Here too, we ask you to note the reference to the WMAC. 

We want to counteract the “FLOOD OF TRUE WORLD CHAMPIONS”. Unfortunately, the concept of the World Cup has increasingly become a “fast euro business model” for various associations in recent years.

More and more classes and more nominated participants guarantee the officials big profits in entry fees and hotel deals.
Sometimes it is more difficult to be eliminated than to win a medal. 
Weight classes with up to 5 ominous nominees per country reduce qualification to absurdity, as 5 participants in a class are rarely able to bear the immense costs of various associations (companies) of a so-called “World Cup”. 

We can imagine ,a youth national team in the future, as well as an elite team in the other disciplines. But at the moment we are limiting ourselves to one age group and the most popular disciplines. 
A WORLD CUP TITLE has to be worth again.

Attention :  

Only fighters with the approval of the National Coach/President are eligible to register.
Athletes without authorization from their nation will be deleted from the elite competitions without consultation.
If in doubt, please contact your responsible country management. 
 

The national representatives receive the lists for checking and deleting false registrations, after the pre -registration period ends.

Normal WMAC World Games entry fees !

If the Atleth starts also in a competition in the amateur divisions, he only pays for a total of one initial start.
There is no second initial entry fee for the Elite.

• Athletes must have a WMAC sports pass and license tag.
• Athletes need the nomination of their national association. 
• Athletes must be recognized as ELITE fighters at the competition. (ELITE BATCH) 

2024 is a transition year. 
This means: Elite athletes are also allowed to compete in the amateur classes

Contact:
In the PF/LK/KL classes, more intensive contact is tolerated, taking the health of the athletes into account.

TAG TEAM FIGHTS:
Amateur teams & Elite teams admitted. (No mix Elite/Amateur)

1 fighter substitute.

Every fighter has to open one of the three rounds.

3x2 min fight time

1 day per person and round allowed.

Tagged Fighters kneel.

Outside fighters are in the tag zone.  SEE TAG TEAM AREA

ELITE fighters must be recognizable as such through clothing and/or logos.

Only ELITE fighters and members of the ELITE staff, including the executive committee, are allowed to wear the WMAC ELITE LOGOS.

MODIFICATIONS and OWN CREATIONS of the ELITE LOGO are prohibited.

After the PRE Registration for ELITE TEAMS has ended, the national responsible persons must check the entries and report athletes to be deleted to the headquarters.

Pre Registration ELITE ends on September 13th, 2024!
The checked list must be sent to headquarters by September 15, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. 

Take care of your correct registration and stay in contact with your national responsible person.

The WMAC demands exemplary behavior in and around the competition.

Elite fighters take on a role model role in the WMAC and should represent this. 

Unfair conduct, inappropriate behavior, or violating the WMAC Charter - may result in immediate expulsion from the Elite and a period of ineligibility for Elite competition. 

The appearance of the athletes must always be fair, exemplary and helpful.

Following the general rules of the WMAC, cadets can take part in the elite competitions, as it is always permitted to start one age group higher.
Veterans and Masters can also take part in the elite competitions. 
Participants under the age of 18 require the written consent of their legal guardians.
